Summary:

Losing any game is a mood killer. It’s inevitable of course, no team can win every single match, but that doesn’t mean anyone likes losing. Even the rush of a truly good game where the Black Jackals put up a hell of fight is dampened when they come out of it without a victory to show for their hard work. This goes for any matchup, of course, but there’s something particularly sour about losing to the Schweiden Adlers. Maybe it’s the history between the members, or the empty feeling left when you put your absolute best into something and still come up short. Maybe it’s the momentarily devastated look on Atsumu’s face when the serve Kageyama aimed at him slams off his forearms and out of bounds, beyond even Inunaki’s reach.
